Research outcomes

Marc holds a prominent position, ranking among the top half-dozen in Australia for his impact in his field, and he recognised as a founder and leader in his specific sub-discipline. Notably, in 2015, Marc achieved the status of being the most published individual in dentistry across the country and simultaneously ranked in the top half dozen globally for social media impact.
Additionally, the team he founded (International Research Collaborative Health and Equity) played a pivotal role in establishing the sub-discipline of Indigenous, Rural, and Remote Oral Health Research in Australia and producing sustainable models to address health inequality that have been translated by governments across the nation to help millions of less well off Australians. This discipline has gained national and international recognition and witnessed substantial growth in prominence over the past decade, contributing significantly to the broader agenda of health and equity.
Marc expresses pride in catalysing the development of this research discipline, emphasising the invaluable contribution to social justice in Australia he has made.
